I just recently finished this Lamplighter book. I am putting it one my favorites list. I love how it tells about the story of David through the simple teachings of a pastor. Love this book!

This was a great read. I loved how the story of David was weaved through the life of the characters. They all learned valuable lessons. I will definitely be reading this book again. Thank you Lamplighter for publishing books that have great morals!

Excellent Story

This was my introduction to the works of A.L.O.E. and I have been hooked ever since.
She had a gift for telling stories that speak truth in a way that is simultaneously engaging and instructive.
This book follows the story of two sets of brothers as well as a crippled veteran, a harsh landlady, and two orphans as their lives providentially intertwine.
Woven throughout is the biblical story of David.
The writing style is so easy to get into, and the story line, intriguing.
I strongly recommend this book and the entire series.

Beautifully written. I love the way A.L.O.E weaves bible stories throughout the book, and with this one, how every character can relate to David and the lessons he learned along the way.
